About

I am Yuming Fu (傅煜铭), a postdoctoral researcher at Leiden Observatory, Leiden University. I use large astronomical surveys to study AGN and galaxy evolution, pursue cosmological applications, and develop methods in astronomical data science. My research combines ground- and space-based observations with spectroscopy, multiwavelength analysis, statistical inference, and machine learning. I am particularly interested in data-driven methods that turn heterogeneous astronomical observations into reliable physical measurements and new discoveries.

I am a member of the Euclid Consortium, where I contribute to near-infrared data processing and science in the Galaxy and AGN Evolution working group. I received my PhD from Peking University in 2021. I then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics, where my research included quasar surveys and science studies for CSST.

Outside research, I write popular-science articles and books and translate English-language works into Chinese. More details are available in my CV.
